The weekly free outdoor yoga classes will begin Sunday, May 2, 8-9 a.m. and run every Sunday through Sunday, Sept. 26. This free class is taught by volunteer yoga teachers from the surrounding area. This yoga is for those who have never taken yoga before; who fear they might not be flexible enough to do yoga; who are afraid they are too old to try; or who are suspicious of what it really is all about. There will be much relaxing, gentle stretching, and getting rid of tension in the body. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, a blanket or a beach towel as we do rest on the ground. If you already practice yoga, you will find this class to be very gentle and an opportunity to focus more on undoing - letting go of stress. If you are new to yoga, you will probably be surprised at how easy it is for you to do. You do not need to make a reservation to attend. Simply show up a bit before 8 a.m. when the class starts.
