NC Live, a statewide collaborative among the nearly 200 public and academic libraries in North Carolina, has developed two new resources to highlight important information for students, job seekers, entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners -- the NC LIVE Business Portal (www.business.nclive.org) and the NC LIVE Jobs Portal (www.jobs.nclive.org). The NC LIVE Jobs Portal is a user-friendly starting point for those who are job hunting or looking to jump start their careers, featuring resume and cover letter builders, Career Library, a database with complete career information, career-related eBooks, interviewing tips, interactive practice exams, and more. The Business Portal is designed for local entrepreneurs, investors, and small business owners who are looking to get their business started, or grow their customer base, and contains free access to full-text articles from the Wall Street Journal, expensive market research data, demographic mapping, company listings from ReferenceUSA, information on starting a small business, business planning, investment research, and more.
