Editorial

The Fuquay-Varina Independent editor is Janet Kangas who can be reached at (919) 552-5675. The deadline for all editorial submissions is Thursday, 12 p.m. Submissions can be faxed at (919) 552-7564, mailed or emailed to the editor's email address.

Deadlines for all email submissions (weddings, engagements, college news, school news, business news, health news, people news, military news, news briefs, and church or community calendar announcements) is 12 p.m. each Thursday in order for your announcement to be included in the following week's paper. Faxes (sent to (919) 552-7564), hand written, or typed announcements must be in the office by Monday at 5 p.m. Please remember that we make every effort to include all items we receive, but there will be times when a lack of space in the paper randomly omits some of those submissions. Announcements must not be typed using bold, italic or capital letters and should specify in the email or fax subject line, which paper the announcement should go into. Church calendar and community calendar announcements must not be any longer than 50 words and should only include the text in the body of all emails.
